Hyundai Mobile Exhibition Trailer Project
Masters where invited to tender for the production of Hyundai new Car show trailers.The design provided as a concept presented some interesting challenges. Thebodywork was not a conventional square design but had large curving sections that required an alternative approach.With our previous experience on the Northampton Tourist Information ExhibitionTrailer we had developed a new manufacturing technique. This was anadaptation from the work on the American Express trailer.
Chassis design for the Hospitality trailer design needed to be special also.

7m Hospitality Trailer design required something special a six wheel drawbar. Our brief to producea low height drawbar trailer, Our choice to use a small wheel construction andtwin rear wheels. Produced a best of both options design approach.
Drawbar trailers are either made with a step frame design or as a flat floor butthe height off the floor deck is high. Small wheels and careful design andconsideration for weight distribution provided the solution as seen in outphotos in this case study.

Glazing - The design required a large open design using large amounts of glazing, our solution to this was to work with specialist, our brief to use real glass and avoid Perspex due to scratching and our aim for a long term solution. Glass provides the best look for an Exhibition trailer due to the clarity and reflective properties.
Graphics -Large format graphics in the design meant that all areas had to be flat and capping sections needed to be hidden flush or avoided. Added to this some areas required removable display panels. The designs and product information needed to be up to date without any large expense. We achieved all of these goals for the design.
Flat floor Extension - The interior of the trailers needed to have a flat internal floor level with solutions for the sliding pod extensions needed. We can produce all of our sliding pox annexe extensions with a flat floor so this was not a problem.
Fitting Out - The furniture required a clean and architectural design look with large thickness to the various furniture elements. But this is a lightweight trailer and you can’t make these pieces as you would for a building. Our team of carpenters who produce product display furniture for high end shop fitting and displays are able to produce these, as solid rigid perfectly made Custom made furniture displays at a fraction of the weight by the design and use of the right materials and thicknesses of the core construction.
Project Managment and design - The manufacture and development of these trailers was made with our open door policy, for the customer visiting the build or receiving regular production reports on the process of the project management and production.
Warranty - Our warranty for the production we inspect and service the trailers as required attending to any questions raised with the customer and independent operator. Our service includes collection for service and to ourworkshop then return to either the operating base or the next show.
Life Span - Regular care and a structured approach are the reason why masters trailers last so long (and of course we make them to last!)
